Craigard House Hotel and Lochside Restaurant overlook Campbeltown Loch, in a quiet cul-de-sac, but minutes from the centre of town. Whether your visit is inspired by business or tourism; a love of dramatic scenery; Golf; Whisky; Watersports or a desire to retrace your roots – the staff of the Craigard House Hotel are committed to make your stay comfortable and, above all, enjoyable.

A recently converted Victorian mansion, originally built by a Whisky Distiller, Craigard offers a friendly and informal stay, in thirteen comfortable and well-appointed rooms, many with glorious sea views.

All rooms have free WiFi and USB sockets, and the en suites have bath and shower, except for one ground floor room, which has a double shower. Complementary Mineral Waters, Toiletries, Teas, Coffees, and more, make a welcome interlude. There is free car parking.

All room bookings include a full Scottish Breakfast in our Lochside Restaurant.

The Lochside Restaurant, awarded ‘Taste the Best’ by Visit Scotland for several years, specialises in freshly prepared local seafood and shellfish from Kintyre waters; Lamb, Beef and Pork from nearby farms and award-winning Kintyre cheeses and Smoked produce. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are always available, and all dietary needs can be catered for with advance notice.

Adjacent to the Restaurant, the lounge bar is a comfy place to read the menu and enjoy an apéritif before dinner. There is an eclectic wine list, including Old and New World favourites, as well as an extensive selection of Campbeltown Malts from Springbank, Hazelburn, Longrow, Kilkerran, and Glen Scotia. These malts are arrayed in age, but there are also many limited editions, Springbank Society bottlings and wood expressions. There are also Highland and Island Malts and a number of Gins, including award-winning Kintyre Gin, distilled nearby at Torrisdale. A fine choice of liqueurs, sherries, Lagers, local Craft beers and soft drinks ensures there is something for everyone.
