Campbeltown is situated on the west Coast of Scotland at the end of the Kintyre Peninsula. By car, it’s about a 3 hour drive from Glasgow and about 4 hours from Edinburgh. If you are island hopping around the West Coast then Campbeltown is easily accessible from both Kennacraig (32 miles away) and Claonaig (37 miles away) ferry terminals. West Coast Motors operates 4 coaches a day from and to Glasgow, taking around 4.5 hours.
By sea
Kintyre Express operates a passenger ferry service between Campbeltown and Ballycastle, in Northern Ireland, from Easter to the end of September.
Calmac operates a seasonal ferry service (26th April – 23rd September 2018) from Ardrossan to Campbeltown. There are regular train services to Ardrossan from Glasgow.
By air
Loganair gets you from Glasgow to Campbeltown in just 30 minutes. Flights are twice a day, Monday – Friday (plus Saturday during the summer)
