Launched in August 2013, We had created a website (www.explorecampbeltown.com) which acts as an online directory of all local businesses within the PA28 postcode area. The website helped to showcase the wonderful products and services we have available locally and we hoped that this would encourage people to visit our ‘hidden gem’ of Scotland. We also work with a variety of local groups to host different events throughout the year.
On 1st October 2021 Explore Campbeltown changed Management of its Destination Marketing over to Keeping it local CIC an already established service serving Businesses, trades and services as well as Tourist information and events promotion, Based in the heart of Campbeltown it offers a variety of services within its premises as well as Social Media, Website, physical presence and unique network of Digital Screens all over the peninsula and Gigha and supported by like-minded fantastic businesses within their premises. Expanding to “Explore Campbeltown and Surrounding Areas” we will enhance an already well built and utilized platform but enable the area as a whole to benefit from a fantastic “Free” service afforded to all no matter the size of your business or service
